“Something Blue” - My cousins were right when they said this painting reminded them of our grandmother’s paintings. Her influence on my art equals her influence on my life. In one word, immense. I have one of her sunflower paintings and it is one of my most prized possessions. It hangs in my living room and I look at it every day. There is no doubt that her work, subconsciously or not, continues to influence mine.
